Over the past few months the St Mary’s Labour team has been talking to residents across the ward. With it being winter, as well as the recent stormy weather across Britain, many residents were concerned over the gritting facilities near where they live. Therefore your local Labour team has made gritting a top priority over this winter period.

St Mary’s campaigner Eamonn O’Brien said, “In many areas across St Mary’s having adequate access to grit boxes, which are also full, is incredibly important when it gets icy. I have spoken to the council about this and they have assured me that grit boxes will be full and ready to use in periods of icy weather. Along with Cllr Black and Cllr Bayley, I will make sure they deliver this promise.”
